Domestic Violence

Mr. Prager is especially knowledgeable with domestic violence cases, having handled hundreds of cases. As the manager of a domestic violence unit in El Paso County, he grew to understand the dynamics of domestic violence cases from a prosecutor’s standpoint. But while a prosecutor, Mr. Prager realized his passion lay in helping individuals in the most difficult times of their lives and now successfully uses that knowledge in vigorous defense of his clients.

Domestic violence cases are more complex, sophisticated, and intimidating than most other criminal cases. Fortunately for the Denver community, Mr. Prager is using the knowledge he gained supervising and managing domestic violence prosecution to defend the rights of the accused.

Mr. Prager has successfully attained dismissals in many of the domestic violence cases he has handled, including both misdemeanors and felonies, and has otherwise limited domestic violence case results to, at worst, probationary sentences. He has attended trainings on how the prosecution uses forensic, medical, and scientific evidence and so-called domestic violence “experts,” learning how to use their tricks against them and achieve impressive results for his clients.
